Whether you host with ODITech or run your own server, the guide walks you through 18 steps in three parts: your database files (accounts, privilege sets, scripts, encryption), FileMaker Server (Admin Console, certificates, services, backups) and the server and network around it. Each step shows why it matters, how to check where you stand, and how to fix it.
If you host with us, the guide also points out where we already protect you, including SSL certificates, firewalls, brute-force protection and request filtering, so you know what's handled and what's yours to do. A few settings, such as Restrict Access and the Admin Console password, should be changed by us so our maintenance and support keep working. Contact us and we'll take care of them.
