Apache announced CVE-2021-44228, which details a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in the Log4j library.
After careful review of our systems and services we identified one area of risk (web hosting) and have taken measures to mitigate that service against the Log4j vulnerability.
Our FileMaker Hosting and FileMaker Dedicated Servers which use FileMaker Server software are not affected. A statement from Claris has been issued and can be found at the following link:
Because our FileMaker Dedicated Server clients have direct access to their servers, we highly recommend a review of any additional software installed on your server by our customers. If you have not installed anything on to your server after the initial setup then you are fine.
