FileMaker Admin Console not working after Java update

FileMaker, Inc. has identified an issue with a recent Java update from Apple that removes the Java Web Start functionality from the following versions of Mac OS:
 
Mac OS X Lion (10.7)
Mac OS X Lion Server (10.7)
Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
Mac OS X Mountain Lion Server (10.8)
 
This Java update may prevent the FileMaker Server Admin Console from launching and functioning properly.
